JEANNE'S TESTIMONY OF GOD IN HER LIFE

I was raised, the youngest of 6, in a Catholic household, so I had some spiritual roots in knowing about Jesus Christ and the Gospel. However, Faith in God was not really explained to me and I didn’t really understand how it pertained to me or why it was for me. Also, I was not really encouraged to study the Scriptures to find out either. 

 

As I grew older, I was definitely a “prodigal daughter” and very lost as a young person. I became atheistic in my thoughts, beliefs and actions—my main belief was, “it didn’t matter what I believed.”

 

In fact, I didn’t come to a full belief in God until I was was an adult (age-27) when I found The Lord coming into my life and awakening my spirit to His existence! I began to see Messiah Jesus in the Gospels and the Book of Acts and how He was working in my life!  

 

Even though I had a great start in life, I was messing it up with drug addictions and alcohol, I was also severely anorexic. I was also taking birth-control, I had been date-raped and used several times. I thought I was living the great life of a modern, liberated successful woman, but inside I knew I was heart-broken and cols. I was in the middle of breaking up a very toxic relationship with a boyfriend who was underage even, the little brother of one of my best friends from high school!  He had me smitten, and then he broke my heart by hiding his already pregnant girlfriend from me! I just remember feeling extremely betrayed, lonely and I called out desperately to God for help at that point! 

 

After that, I knew God had heard my cry because my loneliness just left me and He showed me how He had saved my life several times! I could sense God convicting me of all my sins now and He was gradually bringing me to a forgiven, saving knowledge of Him, through His Word, the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible. 

 

When I realized Jesus as my Lord & Savior,  I was delivered from all my sin!! I knew it was by His sacrificial death on the cross that God delivered me from my loneliness and all of my addictions!  Some of it was gradual and some was instantaneous, miraculous deliverance!! I was free and it was God’s truth that set me free!! (John 8:36)!!

 

When I learned and heard His Word (in the Gospel of John, Chapter 3, and in The Book of Romans, Chapters 1-3) I was born again by the Holy Spirit and believed in Jesus Christ as my Lord and  Savior as well as the long-awaited Messiah of the Jews!! 

 

It was God who brought me to believe in The Father and His Son, and it is His Holy Spirit who dwells in me, saving me from the spirit of sin and death in this world to eternal life in the next! 

 

God has offered this salvation to all people through Jesus (John 3:16-17)! The Book of Acts chronicles Early Christianity’s roots and shows that it is based in faith alone, and not “works.” For believers, good works of faith are prepared and given to us by God alone.

 

Now that I really believed in God, I made the decision to fellowship with Christians and be baptized as a Protestant (Now, I see the Catholic Church’s dogma as very “legalistic Christianity,” hypocritical and very similar to Judaism in that respect). If you look into it, many Roman Catholic "traditions" are from the Babylonian Mystery Religions.

I was truly lost and wounded in this world, but was found, faithful and healed by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Romans 8 is what God has done for me! Now I know that all who claim this faith in Jesus’ sacrifice once, and for all, are promised eternal  life (See John 5:24 and 1 Corinthians, Chapter 15 and all of Hebrews)!

 

About 2 years later, God led me to my husband, Quinn, of 30+ years now and gave us a beautiful daughter too!! I have been blessed by God, beyond measure, in my spirit and in my life!! 
  Praise  Jesus Forevermore - God is Sovereign over all!  

       

What I have learned: 

Authentic Christians MUST stay close to God and sacrifice their own egos and the proudness of their own "lives." Each must give up their own desires humbly, sacrificially, and sometimes, very painfully and choose God's will for their lives each day, according to Romans 12:1-2 and Luke 9:23, so that only Jesus Christ receives the Glory and can thereby save souls through the Holy Spirt's conviction of their sins. The convert to Christianity must be willing to repent (turn away from sinning) in order for God to grant them faith, grace and forgiveness of sin, whereby they can cross over from spiritual death to eternal life according to Romans 3:23, 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:5-9, John 3:3, 5:24 and 1 John 1:9, 5:11-12! 

 

Have a Life Plan and Be Committed to God Alone!

     Cherish & Guide Family to Jesus Christ

     Teach The Gospel & Invest in Biblical Education 

      Evangelism, Ministry & Sharing Messiah Jesus!

      Good Stewardship & Financial Discipline 

      Healthy Lifestyle & Exercise 

     God-led Study Groups of God's Word, The Holy Bible
